As part of our Learning Through Play we used hama beads to design a superhero symbol, made a superhero backdrop, made slime - (a superhero superpower!) and created a superhero cape from a tshirt. We also adopted rules in the superhero small world play. See our photos below.
In our next learning through play we smelt different smells and had to guess them, made biscuits using our fractions, made a fabric person using different textures and materials, explored the braille alphabet and went on a senses scavenger hunt.
In the new year we made mini gingerbread houses, created a cress garden for our cardboard house, made a fairy door from clay, made a junk art house or habitat and lastly made an animal habitat in the sand and bricks.
For the last few weeks of March and beginning of April for activity based learning we finished our fairy doors and our mini gardens.
We also made a sea habitat and played habitat bingo. We created a habitat using problem solving cards.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
