Have a look at the documents below - the Coronavirus book and the Survival Pack for Kids.
In the event of a school closure, it is important that children try to continue with their learning at home. Each child has been given a 'home learning pack' with a covering letter detailing what they should do and giving a list of suggested online resources.
If schools are closed for a prolonged period of time, this class page will be updated with further information and additional work, so please check back regularly.
Google Classroom
Google classroom is an online learning environment, which allows teachers to set assignments and communicate with pupils. All children have a school Google account and they can use their MySchool login details to access this. Their user name will be their MySchool user name and number followed by @c2ken.net. e.g. jbloggs123@c2ken.net. Their password will be their MySchool password.
This online learning environment is new to both pupils and teachers, however in the event of prolonged school closure, we may rely on it more to facilitate home learning.
Update - The P6 Google Classroom is now LIVE!
Please can all children log in, leave a comment on the welcome message and complete the first assignment.
P6 Remote Learning Websites
The children can access their own school computer accounts (MySchool) from home, using the same login details they use in class. They have all been given a green card with their user name and password. Please take care when typing these in, as they will be locked out after 3 wrong attempts. They can access a number of apps and resources through their MySchool account.
This website has a wealth of resources which teachers use on a daily basis. The website usually requires a subscription, but they are offering parents a free month of access to their resources when schools close due to Coronavirus. From the home page click on ‘How to Utilise Twinkl during the Coronavirus Shutdown’ and enter the code ‘UKTWINKLHELPS’
Our school subscribes to this website and the children are familiar with it. The website has excellent resources, learning videos and interactive games and activities. The children need to use the Lowwood pupil user name and password.
