Access to Google Classrooms
Google classrooms is an online learning environment which can be updated by the teacher periodically. Work can be set, completed and returned allowing the teacher to view progression when away from the classroom.
There are two ways to access Google classrooms. The first, to go through MySchool (enter details given in pack) - My Links and then click on Google Classroom (enter google details). The second, to bring up the google search engine, click sign in and enter details. Once in to google drive click on the waffle and choose Google Classrooms.
In school we have taken children through a brief tour of the application, but they may need a little assistance to navigate if they have forgotten. It is a new learning space for both child and teacher and it will require a little getting used to. Please note, in order to complete written activities online and send to teacher, Google docs may have to be downloaded. If this is not a possibility, activities should be completed in the exercise book supplied in the child’s home learning pack. Each child’s login details, for all of the above, are also supplied in the afore mentioned folder.
Google classroom is a valuable tool for consistent interaction with the teacher in the event of an extended school closure, so please persevere with it. It works on most internet capable devices and it will continue to be used once the children return to school.
